Day Activities Much time and effort in Karuna goes to ensuring that each resident has as full and enjoyable a social life as possible. We presently employ a Music Therapist, Reflexologist and Aromatherapist who attend Karuna weekly. In addition we facilitate residents to attend the local Institute of Further and Higher Education for classes such as Art and Trampolining. Residents also go swimming and participate in a range of physiotherapy programmes. The staff within Karuna promote the residents daily living skills and build on communication and choice. Social Life
Visitors All visitors
are welcome and there are no set visiting times. Karuna is the residents’
home and we actively encourage relatives and friends to visit whenever
it suits them and the residents. Holidays The residents enjoy a short break during the summer in small groups on 1:1 basis. We have been to a variety of places both locally and in the mainland.
